DEN Spring Virtual Conference

Saturday, April 26th, 6am-1pm

4807 W Royal Palm Rd

Glendale, AZ

From the website: The DEN Spring Virtual Conference is a free professional development event for educators to learn about the most effective ways to integrate digital media into their instructional practices. It is unique because of its blended environment. The sessions will be broadcast online, but you can attend either from your own home or at one of the many face-to- face (F2F) events around the world. By attending an event in your area, you get that buzz that can only be experienced by being face to face with others.

The theme for this year is Digital Transformation, a continuation of the conversation that began at Future@Now.

What can you expect from the VirtCon?

  • Three keynote presentations (6:00am, 9:00am and 12:00pm AZ time)

  • Four slots for concurrent sessions (7:00am, 8:00am, 10:00am and 11:00am AZ time).

  • Every session will be broadcast LIVE with a full video feed

  • All sessions will be archived and available immediately following the presentation.

Presentations will focus on these five tracks:

  • Call to action: Students Speak - These sessions focus on how digital learning is impacting student achievement and ways to incorporate student voices into the digital transformation.

  • Planning your transition: District administration, thought leaders and policy makers - These sessions focus on planning, policy, and strategies revolving around the shift to digital.

  • Creating culture and community of change - These sessions focus on ways educators are fostering communities of practice that maximize opportunities for change to flourish.

  • Leading from the front: Teachers as Leaders - These sessions focus on educators leading digital transformations with practical, concrete ways to transform existing lessons into new models of engagement.

  • Digital by design: Integrating digital resources into the classroom - These sessions focus on ways educators are merging digital resources and instructional methodologies to yield exceptional outcomes.
