Happy First Week of the New Year!

St. Columba Families,

As I have said to many of you, I hope you had a fantastic Christmas break with your family and that you enjoyed the time with your kids! While I definitely loved my break and my time with family, it was good to get back into the flow of things and see all of the students this week!

We are just about to the end of the 2nd quarter, which means we are approaching the second half of the school year. Hard to believe things are going so quickly!

Starting Monday, we will be having our second window of STAR Assessments. These provide good mid-year data for our teachers. This next week, all students will be assessed and we will do make-ups the following week. Please ensure your children are getting good breakfasts and plenty of sleep all next week.

Finally, I know a lot of our students will be kicking off the Winter Sports season tomorrow, so I wish all of our athletes the best of luck. Go Cougars!

Here is a look ahead at the upcoming events on campus:

  • Monday, January 13: STAR Testing
  • Tuesday, January 14: STAR Testing
  • Wednesday, January 15: Father-Daughter Dance Forms Due; STAR Testing
  • Thursday, January 16: February Hot Lunch Forms Due; STAR Testing
  • Friday, January 17: NO SCHOOL
  • Saturday, January 18: Father-Daughter Dance (K-8)
  • Monday, January 20: NO SCHOOL

Kenyan Treasures Sale

Yesterday, the K-8 students had the opportunity to participate in the Ned Show Kindness Adventure! It was a great presentation full of themes of kindness, friendship, and inclusion.

To support another school to receive the same presentation, as well as support the building of wells in Kenya, we will be selling handmade Kenyan treasures next week after school outside of the Welcome Center. Please support this great cause!

Sports Uniforms Request

If you have any St. Columba sports uniforms at home that are not for the current season, please return them to Coach Watters ASAP.

We are trying to determine what we need to order because we are missing a significant amount from last year.
