Best Buddies Virtual Friendship is this Sunday, April 25!
Although we have paused our chapter's weekly and monthly involvement with Best Buddies this year, I am pleased to share that our Sand Creek Elementary team will still be supporting the Best Buddies Organization through their Friendship Walk! It will be held virtually on April 25, but more information may be obtained through their website.

Assessment Preparation for Students
- The ILEARN Testing Window is April 19 - May 14, 2021.
- Teachers will communicate exact dates and times of assessments for their classes.
- Please be sure your child is well-rested and has a good breakfast. Bring a water bottle.
- Please be sure your child's iPad is fully charged and fully updated every day.
- Please be sure your child has working headphones or earbuds every day.
- Our building tech Mr. Bonnett is happy to help with iPads if needed.

Virtual Students who wish to contribute - please bring your labeled donations to Door 1 by the Main Office and leave them in the container. The Office Staff can monitor donations more closely that way and will send them to the right classes.

The last day of school is Wednesday, May 26.
Attendance and Absence Reporting
- Call 317-915-4270 and leave a message on the Attendance line.
- Email attendance sec. Alison Jones at azjones@hse.k12.in.us, and your student's teacher.
- Please call us before we have to call you! We must hear from every student who is absent.
Masks Required on the Bus and at School
- Send your student in a mask every day.
- Please pack spare masks for when one gets dropped, wet, dirty, lost, broken, sneezed into, accidentally thrown in the trash, or is otherwise unusable.
- Please use a breakaway lanyard to help prevent masks being dropped on the floor or in the trash at lunch, or dropped in the mud or lost at recess.
- Lanyards are still available in the Main Office. Just come ask for one.

K-4 School Hours are 9:45AM - 3:15PM
- Car line drop-off begins at 9:40AM and ends when all cars in line have passed.
- Students must be walked to Door 1 and signed in if there is no adult staff outside.
- Car line dismissal begins at 3:15PM.
- Bus dismissal begins at 3:30PM. Students are still required to ride their assigned buses.
Do you Need Something Unique to do this Weekend? Design a corn maze!
"As we begin to the till the field in preparation for the 5th anniversary of our Corn maze, we want to invite members of the community to help us design the 2021 Corteva Agriscience Corn Maze. Corn Mazes are a Fall tradition along with the Headless horseman Festival here at Conner Prairie. Your design can be funny or spooky. Send them all our way!"
