the (final) RAH
May 15-22, 2017
The Explore team met this week. Currently, 10,553 students are enrolled and if all schools reach their target goals, we should end with 10,789 enrolled.
Additionally, the ELP redesign team met this week. Lael and Sarah will represent you on this team. The work team decided on the broad goals of the work which includes:
1. Improve Programming
2. Increase Access
3. Close the Achievement Gap
I’ve met with 8 of the16 principals I evaluate to discuss their growth plan goals and outline the plan for completing summatives.
If you have general education paras that inform you they are not returning for the 2017/2018 school year, please let me know. Title 1 para notification goes to Brian Hubbard. Special education para notification goes to special education.
...not from a policy perspective, but from the perspective of improving performance of school leaders.
Please update your supply list and share out before EOY
A reminder that the last day is a 2 hour early release
Please ensure you end the year with safety drills met
May 25: 11:30-1:00pm (lunch mtg-place to be determined)
June 13: 7:30-9:00am (breakfast mtg-place to be determined)
June 21: 4:30-6:00pm (dinner mtg-place to be determined)
Over the next month I will be connecting with the principals on my evaluation list to be closing Tower out. Feel free to add any artifacts or reflections you have about your growth and impact this year.
As we finish these last six days, thank you for finishing strong and consistent, with a smile on your face and in your heart. While we all want/need a break and a recharge, we also want students and staff to look forward to returning to a place where they love to learn and to work. Creating the right culture through the last day is just as important as setting it on the first day.
Although this is the last RAH for the school year, I'm planning on sending one in June and one in July for general updates.
Please contact Bret or I for any support needed. Make it a great week!
