This school year is flying by! It's almost April!! Students are working hard as we enter the final nine-week grading period!!! Let's finish strong! A HUGE shout out to our Academic UIL students who brought home the District Championship this year!!!

Next week we will be celebrating Neurodiversity Week! We will have a spirit week, please see this document for what we are celebrating each day. In addition, students will learn about neurodiversity in their PIE classes, you can view the presentation here. THANK YOU so much to our counselors, family members, and community partner, A Snowball's Chance for helping and supporting our Celebrating Neurodiversity Week!!!

Please help remind your student to stay for tutoring and to take advantage of the Opportunity for Mastery to help them really learn the content and to improve their grades as well. The late bus arrives at DMS between 5:00 and 5:15 pm each day. Any student can ride the late bus and you don't have to sign-up to ride this year! This week we will continue having academic assistance during lunch. Any students missing assignments will work with admin during lunch to help get their assignments completed and submitted to their teacher. Our students have been taking advantage of this time and additional support and have completed a lot of assignments during this time! We are so proud of their hard work!

Attendance Update:

Our attendance rate has dropped to 95%. Our goal for this year is a 99% attendance rate. Please remember that the official attendance for the day is taken at 10:20 am each day. Our next incentive for Perfect Attendance will be for the dates of April 3-April 21st. All students with Perfect Attendance during these dates will receive a popsicle party!
