Health Tip of the Week
Mental Health America features a variety of topics to explore for mental health and wellness. The focus this week is on creating joy and satisfaction where you can! Chances are, you simply deserve some joy and satisfaction. But if you prefer, you can think about the serious side of fun. Experts say good feelings can boost your ability to bounce back from stress, solve problems, think flexibly and even fight disease.
Studies Show That:
Laughing decreases pain, may help your heart and lungs, promotes muscle relaxation and can reduce anxiety.
Positive emotions can decrease stress hormones and build emotional strength.
Leisure activities offer a distraction from problems, a sense of competence and many other benefits. For example, twins who participated in leisure activities were less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease or dementia than their fellow twins in one study.

End of Year Chromebook Collection
Seniors can return their Chromebook, charger, and carrying case at any time during the week of May 15th, once they finish their last final exam. They will be turning these directly into the Media Center. All personal stickers should be removed. Seniors who do not turn in their Chromebooks will not receive their Graduation Tickets until the device is turned in or identified as lost and the fine is paid.
9th-11th grade students will return their Chromebook and charger to their 7th period teacher on May 24th once they finish their final exam. They should keep their carrying case over the summer. All personal stickers should be removed, but their name tag should remain so we can renew that Chromebook for them when they return in August.
Any students taking Summer School or Credit Recovery will receive the plan for their renewal in the coming weeks.
