history of earth day

Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970, but came world known in 1990. On March 21, 1971 Earth Day was proclaimed an official holiday. Thanks to Gaylord Nelson everyone on April 22 can help the world. Nelson worked very hard to get earth day an international holiday, and he succeeded.

Ways to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

This year for Earth Day I am going to help the environment by picking up trash outside, and recycle the trash that I find. Also, I am not going to buy new things, I am going to reuse older things. Finally, I am not going to buy many things that are harmful to the environment. I can't wait until Earth Day.
