Weekly PIT Happenings

February 17 - 21, 2014

Thank you!

Last week we had dress up days for Sierra Harris, Class of 2013, who was hit by a drunk driver and is in critical condition. Sierra will be transported to Dallas this week for neurological and physical in-patient rehabilitation. The students raised quite a bit of money for her and there are two more activities coming up to raise money for her. While our students come from all over, once they are here we are family - once a wolf always a wolf!

This week in Excel

This week we will be figuring GPA on a 4 point and 6 point scale in Excel. This will allow the students to ave real world applications with formulas and different worksheets in the workbook. When this lesson is over, encourage your student to keep up with the document - my seniors who had me for this class still use the document today when they do applications for jobs, scholarships, and college!

Kaufman ISD

Kaufman ISD will be visiting on Tuesday to see what Global is all about. They are wanting to create an ECHS and they came to see the best! Their administrators and planning team will be spending the day touring the facility and learning what it is we do every day!

This Wednesday, the district principals will be at Global seeing all of the great things we do! We are excited to show off our school and let everyone see all the great things happening!
