How it started
The secong world war was a global war, it lasted from 1939 to 1945. The start of the was 1 September 1939, begining with the German invasion of Poland, Britain and france declared war on Germany two days later. There were more than 100 million people from more than 30 different countries, serving in millitary units in a state of "total war" , the major participants threw their entire economic, industrial, and scientific capabilities behind the war effort, erasing the distinction between civilians and millitary sources, Marked by hundreds of deaths. On August 6 and 9, 1945 the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed by the first atomic bomb used in warfare. The first atomic bomb ever been used was on Hiroshima on Japan Augus 6, 1945 8:16:02 am Hiroshima time. The bomb was called "Little Boy" It landed on top of a hospital. At the end of 1945. over 140,00 died and the following 5 years 60,000 died of the result of the bomb. The second atomic bomb called "Fat Man" exploded over Nagasaki , Japan at 11:02 a.m on August 9, 1945 70,00 people died from the bomb.

Joseph Stalin
Joseph Stalin was born on the 18 of december 1878. Among the Bolshevik revolutionaries who took part in the Russian Revolution of 1917, Stalin was appointed General Secretary in 1922. He managed to consolidate power following 1924 death of Vladimir Lenin. By the late 1920 he was the unchallenged leader of the Soviet Union. He remained general secretary until the post was abolished it in 1952. Under Joseph Stalin's rule, the concept of " socilaism in one country" became a central idea in the Soviet Union. He replaced the New Economic Policy introduced by Lenin in the early 1920's. The economic changes coincided into the imprisonment of millions of people in the Soviet correctional labour camps. Later in a period that lasted from 1936-1939, Stalin instituded a campaign against alleged enemies of his regime called the Great Purge, in which thousands were executed. Major figures in the communist party like old Bolsheviks , Leon Trotsky , and several Red army Leaders were executed after being convicted to overthrow the goverment of Stalin.
Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler was born on 20,April,1889. He was a Austrian-born German politician and leader of the Nazi Party. Then he became the leader of the NSDAP in 1921. After his release in 1924, Hitler gained popular support by attacking the Treaty of Versailles and promoting Pan-Germanisim, antismeitism and anti-Communism with Nazi propaganda. After his appointment as chancellor in 1933 he transformed the Weimer Republic into the Third Riech. It was a single party dictatorship based on the totalitarian and autocratic ideology of Nazism. Hitler's aim was to establish a New Order of absolute Nazi German hegemony in continental Europe. He directed the rearment Germany and the invasion of Poland by the Wermacht in September 1939, resulting in the outbreak of World War II in Europe. Under Hitler's rule, in 1941 German forces and their European allies occupied most of Europe and Norht Africa. Germany was forced onto the defensive and suffered a series of escalating defeats.
Franklin D. Roosevelt
Franklin D. Roosevelt was born on January, 30, 1882. He was commonly Known for his initials FDR the 32nd President of the United States. He served for 12 years until his death in 1945. A dominant leader from the Democratic party and the only american president elected for more than two terms. He defeated Herbert Hoover in November1932, when the Great Depression. FDR was asisted by Harry Hopkins, he worked close with the English Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin leading the allies against the Nazi's. His goal was to make the American "Arsenal of Democracy" wich would supply ammo for the allies. In March 1941, Roosevelt, with the Congressional Approval provided Lend-Lease aid to the countries against the Nazi German, Scotland and Wales. With very strong national support he made war with Japan and german after the Japanease attack on Pearl Harbor.
Harry S. Truman
Harry S .Truman was the 33rd president of the United States. The final running mate of Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1944. Truman became president on April, 12, 1945 When roosevelt died after months of declining health. Truman was the one that concluded the World War for the United States. in the aftermath of the conflict, tensions with the Soviet Union increased , marking the start of the cold war. whilr germany surrended a few weeks after Truman assumed the presidency, the war with japan was expected to last a year longer or more. Truman ordered to use atomic weapons against Japan, where the two bombs landed on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The atomic weapons forced japan to surrender and to spre millions of american lives in an invasion. His presidency became a turning point with foreign affairs, as the nation supported a internationalist foreign policy in conjunction with European allies.
