July Newsletter 2020

Greetings HHASD Family!

I wanted to provide you with an update on some of the work that is going on as we are deep into the planning for reopening our schools this fall. Last night, we met with the Parent Sounding Board to review the state plan, safety measures and precautions, and the parent survey that will be coming out by the end of this week. Information gleaned from the survey, as well as the health department and state and federal guidelines, will serve as base components of our plan. We will continue to work throughout this summer, providing you with regular updates to keep you informed, and hope to have a plan approved by our board in late July or early August.

4K Screening Date Monday August 3, 2020

The Holy Hill Area School District will be hosting their Developmental Screening Day for all incoming 4K students on Monday August 3, 2020. We plan to coordinate a schedule which will allow staff to screen a smaller group of students at one time throughout the day. All registered 4K students will be assigned a specific time and parents/guardians will be notified when their child will be asked to come to Friess Lake School on this date. These precautionary measures will help to ensure the safety and well being of our staff and students during this screening. We look forward to meeting our young learners.

In July, we will host hybrid board meetings on July 6 and 20. Meetings will be held in the RMS Library, with a virtual option to attend. Meeting information will be on the website.
