Ms. Romo's Report

The month of April was a busy one with state testing, sporting events, activities and learning! As we begin to turn the corner towards next school year, please continue to reach out to teachers and staff about your student's success. If you haven't already, check Infinite Campus to see your student's current grades and attendance. Thank you and we look forward to finishing the school year strong!

Our New Clothes Bins!

If you have driven past the building recently, you may have noticed a new addition! Sitting on the lawn next to our south parking lot entrance are our new Clothes Bins! Clothes Bin is a convenient way to recycle clothes, shoes, and other textiles that you would otherwise throw out over donating due to stains, tears, or quality. It is not a replacement for donation. The bins are to help reduce landfill waste. Everyone in the community is welcome to use it!

You can find more about the operation at the Clothes Bin website.

As the year is coming to a close, keep an eye on our Activities Calendar. Clubs will be wrapping up for the year and their last meeting dates will all be different. You can access the calendar here:

There is a section of our website called High School & Community Programs and there are activities that your student can do over the summer. Please visit our website at this page for more details:

DMPS has partnered with Iowa Clinic for one last round of sports physicals during this school year. There are options at middle schools and high schools nearby and this is a great opportunity for students to get a sports physical for free. Any physicals completed in May will be good for all of next school year so don't miss your chance at these clinics. More information about how to sign up can be found at this web page:

We are nearing the mid-point of our soccer season and games start this week and the season will conclude on May 20. Check out our website for the most up-to-date information about our boys and girls soccer teams:
