2016-17 Student School Board Representatives
This year’s senior class students nominated and voted for classmates for all offices/positions including school board representatives last spring. Based on the results, the student council body nominated and elected Veronica Kovach (left) and Abby Linn (right) as school board representatives for the 2016-17 school year.
Safety Training
On January 18 and 19, 2017 the Charleroi area School District will host an ALICE extensive two day training. We will receive 5 free registrations valued at approximately $3000 for hosting this course.
This training will be afforded to key safety stakeholders in our district that will empower our staff and students to make choices based on real‐time information. In addition, this training will certify our administrators and security officers to train our own district staff on a professional development day on Friday February 17th. Following this professional development, later in February, Charleroi students and parents will be informed about the ALICE system. It is our sincere hope that we will never have to use this system, but, much like a fire drill – it is always best to be prepared!
