Frame for Fluency Resources
I know we will need some additional PD, but wanted to get the materials in your hands for you to begin to become more familiar with it.
Use the lists given to you from the staff meeting to determine your EL groupings. If you feel the lists are inaccurate, let or Mara know.
Here is a link to the recording of our PD for you to refer back to!
During the PD at the staff meeting, we went over how to use the scope and sequence, how to use the teacher’s guide to teach the lessons, strategies to teach the lessons, and how to do extension activities using your literature and using the back of the theme picture cards. Frames for Fluency can be aligend with core curriculum for 15 minutes a day. If you have any questions, please email Brenda Rosa at brosas@ballard-tighe.com. She is ready to assist with this supplemental EL curriculum., and can help us trouble shoot any issues we have.

What’s New- Galileo Assessment
This year, the Galileo K-12 assessment has been integrated into Imagine Language & Literacy. This assessment is a UNIVERSAL SCREENER that will provide you with detailed information on how students are performing on state standards. TK and K students are exempt from this assessment.
When students login to Imagine Learning for the first time, they will see the following screen:
Students will need to click the link to begin the assessment.
They will not be able to click on the Imagine Learning icon.
The assessment should take 30-45 minutes to complete
To prepare for the new assessment, I suggest watching the following student videos. The student video will play automatically for students when they login for the first time.

Student Video Second Grade+: Imagine Language & Literacy - imaginelearning
Submitting a blank assessment
If you are concerned about a student’s ability to complete a grade level assessment you can have them submit a blank test by doing the following:
Have the student begin the assessment. Have them click the “review” button at the top right, then click “submit”
