WHAT THE HOLOCAUST MEANS TO ME
When I think of the Holocaust, I think of Hitler, and all the Jews he gathered, abused, killed, experimented on, and killed intentionally. I think of all the innocent children that had to experience the loss of their loved ones, and even their own identity. The word, "Holocaust," brings sadness sympathy, and empathy for each individual, especially the kids.
At death camps like Auschwitz, children did not fare well; they were often killed upon arrival. Children born in the camps were generally killed on the spot, especially if the child was Jewish.

CONCENTRATION CAMPS:
a place where large numbers of people, especially political prisoners or members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities, sometimes to provide forced labor or to await mass execution. The term is most strongly associated with the several hundred camps established by the Nazis in Germany and occupied Europe in 1933–45, among the most infamous being Dachau, Belsen, and Auschwitz.
