Happy Weekend!
An update on Coronovirus
We have assembled a district pandemic planning committee to put systems in place to keep students and staff healthy. The committee is following the guidance of the trusted local, state and national sources (including the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of Public Instruction and Wisconsin Department of Health Services/Public Health Madison & Dane County).
We now have information about the coronavirus on the district website under the Health Services section: This page will function as an up-to-date resource for families. Included is archived coronavirus district communications, FAQs and relevant links.
Mixed Media: Space, Planets and Nebulae at the Stoughton Public Library
First Grade Kegonsa students put their knowledge of space, planets and nebulae into practice in this mixed media project. After learning about space, students splatter painted stars and used a printmaking technique called rainbow rolling to create the milky way. Next, students used painting combs to spread yellow, orange, white, brown and blue paint to make their Jupiter-like planets. After tracing, cutting and gluing their planets onto their solar system, students used chalk pastel to create nebulae (space dust!) and rings on their planet.
“Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man’s desire to understand.”
– Neil Armstrong
