Old-Fashioned Tea Party
We'll be wearing our Sunday-best, breaking out the fine china, serving a variety of hot teas, tiny sandwiches with no crust and some tasty desserts.
Tickets will be $15.00 per person.
If you are someone who would like to volunteer at this event (set-up, take-down, baking refreshments, helping to serve) please email library@exeterpubliclibrary.org or stop in and talk to us!
Spring Craft Fair 2020! Vendors wanted!
We are now accepting online applications from vendors who sell hand-crafted, hand-made items for our Spring Craft Fair taking place on Sunday, May 3rd from 10-3.
Unlike previous years, acceptance into Craft Fair is not going to be first-come, first-served. We will review all online applications and contact all applicants by February 22nd.
Once our vendors are selected, a $15 non-refundable donation to the library reserves their spot.
Spaces in our craft fair are about the size of a 6ft table and surrounding area.
Here is the link to the application: www.exeterpubliclibrary.org/2020craftfair.html

Reading Across Rhode Island
We will be having a book discussion here about Rising on Thursday, March 5th and there will be other events throughout the state.
From the author: "What an incredible honor it is to have RISING chosen as Rhode Island’s One Book, One State community read selection for 2020. Five years ago, my husband and I relocated to the Ocean State, and it is here that I finished writing this book. During that time, the climate crisis has heated up calling us to new conversations about what it means to be a human on planet earth today. I so look forward to sharing RISING and the conversations it will spark with you all." – Elizabeth Rush

Library Tips & Tricks
Nothing New!
Sometimes we overhear people looking at our "New Book" shelf and commenting that the books there are not especially new. We are not offended. We get new releases on a weekly basis and they stayed on the shelf - that would mean we are choosing titles nobody wants to take home!
In addition to this newsletter we also send out a weeklynewsletter of all the new books and movies we get in each week. We use a service called Wowbrary. You can sign up for it here. It will also link you to the library catalog so you can place holds (really the very best way for you to get your hands on anything new.)
