A Message from Our Principal
IOWA Assessment (standardized testing) began this morning and every day this week. Please continue to make sure your children have a great night’s sleep and eat a healthy (not a lot of sugar) breakfast.
North Texas Giving (NTG)– Schedule your donation ahead of time beginning today, September 10, or make your donation on September 20. Thank you and God bless you for your generosity. NTG marks the kickoff of our Annual Giving Appeal.
We will not be making a public appeal at the weekend Masses. The Bishop’s Annual Diocesan Appeal begins currently and the Diocese has directed us not to make any appeals or announcements at Mass. We will have students at the September 15/16 Masses handing out flyer information regarding the NTG / Annual Giving event.
Students who attend Mass on September 15 or 16 in formal school uniform (includes those HFCS students who altar serve on September 15 or 16, will be able to have a non-uniform dress day on September 17. Please see student handbook for the appropriate attire for non-uniform dress day. We do not have free dress at Holy Family.
Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams for their victories on Saturday. Saturday, September 8, was the first weekend of volleyball season. Go Hornets!!!
Tuesday, September 11, is the Day of Remembrance and Mourning, when we remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
Parent-Teacher Conference Day is Friday, September 21. Parents will use Sign-up Genius to schedule conferences. Students must attend and be in school uniform of choice).
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve
