St. Columba's Primary School
NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 8 | 24 MARCH 2020
Ps 104:3-4
'Let the hearts that seek the Lord rejoice;
turn to the Lord and his strength; constantly seek his face.'
We pray for all within our school and wider community during this time. We turn to God to seek guidance; to love one another through compassion and kindness.
Message from the Principal
In what has been an extraordinarily week, there are still many positives. We continue to have students attending school, while those who are at home are learning the same outcomes. Due to low numbers in many classes we will be combining classes where necessary (in accordance with CEWA class size guidelines).
There was an announcement by the Premier of WA today regarding schooling in WA. We will be in a position to communicate Catholic Education WA's response and intentions later today. This information will be sent home as a separate email and please also monitor our Facebook posts. In addition, we will be required to gather some information from families (again, to be advised by CEWA later today).
Our teachers continue to work tirelessly - please read the message of support from The School Board below.
God bless.

Principal
Message from the School Board
Dear Parents and Carers
Further to the discussion at our Board meeting last night, the Board of St. Columba’s would like to acknowledge and thank the tremendous and tireless efforts of the school’s teachers and its other staff during this difficult period that we are all experiencing because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The relentless commitment to deliver their day jobs and maintain the highest standards further reminds our school community of how fortunate we are to have these people teaching our children and maintaining our school. The school has continued to deliver its services, and the communication with the parents has been timely and informative.
Kind regards and on behalf of the St Columba’s School Board
Anthony Rechichi
