#6--Schedule the ASVAB

Texas Senate Bill 1843 requires each school district to provide students in grades 10 through 12 an opportunity to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test and consult with a military recruiter. School districts must:
  • Schedule the test during normal school hours; and
  • Schedule the test at a time that limits conflict with extracurricular activities.
Contact your military recruiter or visit the ASVAB site here to schedule this test.

Make sure you have access to ApplyTexas Counselor Suite! If you don't have access, email jthornton@esc17.net. You can access the following valuable reports:


* Admission application student list--Shows a list of the students at your high school who have started an ApplyTexas admission application.


* Admission application detail report--Shows a list of applications started and submitted for an individual student.


* Full download report--Shows the student application list as well as the information found on the application details screen.


* FAFSA application student list--Shows a list of the students at your high school who have started or completed a FAFSA application.
