About Maria

Maria Triano is a Dance/Yoga & Movement educator, instructor, choreographer, artist, and mentor who has been sharing her gifts with those she teaches for over 25 years; she's a Reiki Master, Certified Angel Card Reader ™, and spiritual guide. She is certified by Dance Masters of America & Dance Educators of America. Her choreographic expertise & mentoring has been provided to many organizations, groups, companies & individuals throughout her career. For over 20 years, she has been sharing her choreographic works as Guest Artist with the University Dance Company at East Stroudsburg University. For 15 years she was the creator and Director of the annual Mountain Dance Concert, which brought regional professional dance companies together to share their dance art. She was also one of four women honored by The University of Scranton’s Small Business Development Center as a Women Entrepreneur of Merit. Maria has trained, inspired & been mentor to many dancers who have gone on to have professional careers in dance performance, who own their own studios, who have their own performance-based companies and has trained dance teachers. Her passion for movement, personal growth and artistry, as well as, the support and leadership she offers to others has allowed her to follow her dreams and creative visions and inspire others to do the same. She promotes the JOY of movement and self-expression.

In December 2013, Maria will become a first-time published author for her book entitled, The Namaste Garden. The book will be available for purchase through Balboa Press and on the world-wide web.
