Covid Quarantine Resources

Contact your DLC to have yourself or even your class added to the WeVideo Pro Licenses for the district. We generally hand out licenses for this based on specific projects.
We have this licensing normally, this isn't just during this time.
Gimkit has offered an increase of kits to 10 during this time.
Login to your Gimkit account, and click the blue "Impacted by Covbid" button on the lower left.
Frisco ISD now has Nearpod pro for 60 days and if you are at Lebanon Trail, your account has been created for you and you should have gotten an email from Nearpod regarding your account. Otherwise you will need to email your DLC to request the pro version if you would like it.
NewsELA accounts should work (use sign in with Google), but the Canvas integration is not yet functioning appropriately.
Frisco ISD now has free access to Newsela ELA, Newsela Social Studies, Newsela Science, and The Newsela SEL Collection. through the end of the school year.

We now have premium access to PearDeck for Frisco ISD.
It is an interactive presentation tool that integrates with Google tools well. It is similar to Nearpod if you are familiar to that.
Kami PDF Annotator
We have additional features during their COVID period. *Now through June 15
Students can annotate on Google Drive PDFs including drawing on them, adding audio files, pictures, math type, and more.
It's not as easy to use on a phone as it is on a larger touch-screen.
Add multiple choice questions within a YouTube video.
EdPuzzle is now an option in your course navigation in Canvas.
Go to Settings -- Navigation -- and make sure EdPuzzle is in the top section.
They are offering free upgrades to teachers through May 1, 2020. Here is the link if you have an ipad or you are interested.
Loom- screen recording- free during this time. Find it here
Techsmith- SnagIt Screen capture you can draw on and Video Review (recording with markup) Offering free during this time. You have to request free software here.
District pays for this one- it's available all the time, not just during this weird mess.
They just updated class rosters in Discovery Ed, so you can assign work in there as well as find resources for kids like videos, photos,. etc. They have a board builder tool that is amazing.

Rich Content Editor options- These are already added at the district level but you may not have noticed them before.

Checking Student Activity in Canvas
According to FISD communications, teachers will not be reporting "attendance" but should be contacting students who aren't working.
If you add requirements to a Module, you can view that progress.
- Note: If you require a Page to "mark as done", tell students to click the button in the top right of the page.
