Congratulations to all of the students that received this award for March! The next CARES celebration will be held on April 30th.
These recipients will be having cinnamon rolls & juice with Mrs. Molitor during morning meeting that day.
End of Day Car Line Pick Up Reminders
When you are the first car in line, please pull all the way to the very end of the sidewalk just before the stop sign (PAST the painted white line). By doing so, we will be able to fit more cars into the Glendale parking lot, hopefully alleviating traffic congestion on Connelly Parkway.
We would like to keep traffic flowing and get everyone on their way ASAP, so please be sure to pay attention and move up when the car in front of you moves up in line.
- We ask that you please keep your car sign up in your passenger window or right side of your front windshield until your child is in your car. This will help the teachers to know who to send out to the vehicles and allow the flow of traffic to keep moving.
*For safety reasons, if you do not have your car sign, you will be asked to come up to the office to sign your child out.
School Visitor Safety Reminders
-Sign yourself in on the "visitor" clipboard in the office
-Wear our bright green "visitor" sticker in a spot that is visible to all staff while you are in the building
When picking up your child for a sibling's concert or event:
-Please come to the office and we will call your child up to meet you rather than walking around the building and stopping by their classroom.
**We ask that you please let their teacher know prior to the event, as pulling them out of class during learning time can be a big distraction to both the teacher & other students.
Thanks for your cooperation with this matter!
Penny Math Carnival
The 5th graders put on a Penny Math Carnival for the entire school March 7th & 8th.
They raised a total of $448.00! All money is being donated to Hurricane Relief to buy clean water for victims.
Thank you to all of our Glendale students & families for your support and generous
donations!

Student Environmental Forms:
Just a reminder to parents who wish to give further input into the classroom placement of
your child for next year, the forms are in the office and will be available during
conferences in April. Please remember that these forms need to be returned by Friday,
May 4th.
MCA Testing Schedule
Grades 3-5 students will be taking the MCA III math and reading test during the weeks of April 2nd- May 4th.
Grade 5 students will be taking the MCA science test during the week of May 7th - 11th.
*All MCA testing is online only.
You can help your child prepare by providing a good night of sleep and a healthy
breakfast. We appreciate families avoiding trips and scheduling appointments during this time. Thursday, April 26 is nationally recognized as Take Your Child to Work Day.
Unfortunately, this year's date is in conflict with the Math MCA that will be administered.
As a result, we encourage you to bring your child to work without interfering with their
testing so that he or she may still benefit from the experience.
Why statewide testing?
Minnesota values its educational system and the professionalism of its educators. Minnesota educators created the academic standards which are rigorous and prepare our students for career and college. The statewide assessments are how we as a state measure that curriculum and daily instruction in our schools are being aligned to the academics standards, ensuring all students are being provided an equitable education. Statewide assessment results are just one tool to monitor that we are providing our children with the education that will ensure a strong workforce and knowledgeable citizens (from the Minnesota Department of Education).
Please click below to read more information about statewide testing and access the parent/guardian opt out form. This form must be signed by a parent/guardian and returned to the main office of your child’s school.
