Parent/Teacher Conferences

Thank you to our families for recently attending our first ever virtual conferences! We had 95% of our families attend these virtual conferences to discuss student progress and how things are going at school. These connections are so important for overall student success and we appreciate the opportunity to meet with each of you!

Student COVID Screener

Each Monday through Thursday, students fill out a daily COVID screener each day to help us as a district monitor student symptoms in order to keep everyone healthy and safe. Each Friday, when students log in for Virtual Friday, we ask that students continue to fill out this COVID screener for the same reasons as above. Please help remind or ask your son/daughter if they have filled out the screener each Friday as I know we have reminded staff to help that happen but family support would also be very appreciated. Please talk with your child's classroom teacher if you have any questions. Thank you!

Dr. Seuss Week

We will celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday with a variety of fun activities throughout the week. See the opportunities below:

Cat In The Hat Day - Wear Stripes or a Hat

Thing One & Thing Two - Crazy Hair Day

Fox In Sox - Wear Crazy Socks

Dr. Seuss Read In - Wear Pajamas

Lost and Found

Normally, in person conferences provide a wonderful opportunity for families to hunt through our lost and found to reclaim cherished items.

Seeing that conferences were held virtually this year, it is going to be important in the next two weeks to remind your child to thoroughly check the lost and found by the office for those missing items.

Items unclaimed by Spring Break will be donated.

Vocabulary boosters

A large vocabulary can turn your child into a better reader and writer. Try these everyday ways to help him/her to learn new words

  • Keep your ears open - When you and your son/daughter go places, point out words that people use. Maybe a waiter describes an entree or the dentist talks about molars. Encourage your child to figure out what the words mean by the way they're used.
  • Go beyond nouns - Help your child add adjectives and verbs to his/her vocabulary. Sports and games offer opportunities to use action words. Let your child hear you comment on the softball that soars or the runner who sprints. When she sends thank you notes or greeting cards, suggest descriptive words (a polka-dotted shirt, a fantastic birthday).

Snack and Milk

If your child would like to either continue or enroll in the snack and milk program offered through the school, please fill out the form and return with payment accordingly.
