The Revision of Clue
A Clue inspired board game for Greek myths
Weapons, Characters, and Rooms
The different rooms on the board game will be different important settings from the four Greek myths; the place on the beach where Daedalus and Icarus make the wings to fly back home or the labyrinth where Theseus fights with the Minotaur. The characters are the ones from the myths but will be playing as the characters (more so the colors of the characters) from the original board game and in the beginning the players will choose which character they would like to play as (all of the characters do not have to be played and it does not matter which characters do play). The weapons will be kept the same as they are in the original game: wrench, candlestick, pipe, knife, revolver, and the rope.
Setting the game up
The players will set their games pieces on the designated colored block on the board. After the weapon, room, and murder are selected, (by someone not playing the game/at random) the remaining rooms, weapons, and characters will be distributed randomly between the players and they will mark those off on the playing card they have. Exp: I have the Minotaur (Mrs. Peacock) so i will put a check mark next to that name so that i know this person was not the murderer, same for weapons and rooms. After rolling each person has rolled the dice to determine who will play first from getting the highest roll, the game can begin.
How to play
The objective of the game is to go from room to room asking if it was _____, with the _____, in the _____, until the weapons, rooms, and players are narrowed down on your playing card and you can successfully say who it was, in what room, with what weapon. This game will add a fun spin to how these characters die and by whose hands. How funny would it be if the Minotaur killed Medusa with a pipe opposed to Perseus killing Medusa with her own snakes?
Added Rules
- If you run into Medusa in a room or are within a two block radius of her, your character will become frozen and will only unfreeze after three of your skipped turns.
- If you run into Theseus or the Minotaur (room or within two blocks) you will be directed to another room if you are in a room or be directed back to your starting place if you are on the blocks.
- Every time Daedalus enters a room all of the weapons go to the room to the left (clockwise).
- If you run into Pegasus or Bellerophon (room or within two blocks) you be moved to the "sky room".
