PISD Summer Slide District Initiative- Event
Students who demonstrate gains from last year's reading levels to this year, will be invited to attend a district-wide event. Eligible students from Hancock will attend September 28, 2016. Teachers will receive rosters during PLC meetings to confirm the reading levels were entered in AWARE correctly.
Once we confirm for accuracy, we will send home permission slips to the eligible students.
Please note, this incentive is only available for students who were in PISD schools last year.
TLA Power-up Library Day Initiative
Our library participated in the state wide Power Up Library Day. Our school will be recognized through the Texas Library Association but more importantly, it was an opportunity for 3rd and 4th graders to be creative, explore, and collaborate. They were able to participate in a MAKERSPACE of their choice. Thank you Mrs. Garza for preparing for this event!
Cafeteria Update!
You can help us by:
- Being on time when you take your kids to lunch.
- Ensuring your students are ready with their selection when they come to the line.
- Teaching students to say their food choice clearly as they go through the line.
- Teaching them to say their name clearly at the registers.
