You've Been Spotted!
Each month we will be highlighting web managers for great work on websites. This month we'd like to give a shout out to Laura Garrett at Watson Junior High and Corneisha Smith-Burger at Grand Mountain School.
Laura does a great job using images to showcase programs, activities, and sports offered at Watson. Also, the images she used are high resolution and formatted correctly to fit the space.
Corneisha has been doing great work to highlight Grand Mountain's news post section. She includes the news section in all messaging that goes out to parents. Specifically, the school's newsletters that are emailed to parents always include how to subscribe to the school's news section. In the month of November alone, the news posts section received more than 1,500 views!
Tips & Tricks ~ News Section
Carolyn Stephen created a tutorial video on YouTube called "Stay in the Know" that shows parents how to subscribe to news posts. You can share this link out on your school's social media, Blackboard or Infinite Campus emails, or digital newsletters.

Homepage Image Guidelines
Visual storytelling is the best way to tell your school's story. We want the images to speak for themselves without text. However, we understand there are photos that may require a description box. For example, programs like AVID or Pre-AP may need a description associated with the image. If the photo does not clearly show or tell what is going on in the image, you can use the description box. Please limit text to one sentence.
A few guidelines on Homepage images and text:
- Use forever images that do not have an expiration date
- If the image expires, use it in your News Post section - examples include Fund Run, Book Fair, Student of the Month
- Description box on homepage images should not be used for announcements.
Please use the news post section announcements
