Explanation:

  • The subjects are on the left
  • The criterion are on the right of the subjects
  • Highest marks for each criteria is listed beside the criteria
  • The highest possible total for each subject is on the right

Evaluation:

I think this design is good because:
  • It has every subject
  • It has every assessment criteria
  • It has the overall grades
  • It has different colour for each subject

I think this design is not good enough because:

  • There is no space for units of each subject for the students to full in
  • No calculation space
  • It has no heading




Spreadsheet design #2

Explanation:


  • The subjects are on the top
  • The criterion is right below the subjects
  • The highest possible marks for each criteria in each subject is listed below the criteria
  • The highest possible marks for each subject is at the bottom


Evaluation:


This design is good because:

  • It has every subject
  • It has every assessment criteria
  • It has the overall grades
  • It has different colour for each subject

This design is not good enough because:

  • There is no space for students to fill in their units for each subject
  • There is no space for calculation
  • It has no heading




Conclusion

I will create design #1, because:

  • It's simple but has all the information needed
  • The layout looks good
  • It is easier to understand than design #2
I forgot to design the space where students can insert their units for each subject and where they can calculate their marks, so I am going to add the space needed during my creation.

Stand-alone design#1

Explanation:



  • There is a title about what it is about on the top
  • It is divided into 2 sides
  • 4 subjects in each side
  • Criterion for each subject is listed
  • The highest possible mark for each criteria is listed beside it


Evaluation:


This design is good because:

  • It is stand-alone
  • It is not too short and not too long
  • It is specially designed for MYP students

This design is not good enough because:

  • It doesn't have the explanation of how each assessment criteria is graded
  • It doesn't have the explanation of how the overall grade is calculated
  • It has no image






Stand-alone design #2

Explanation:


  • The title of the poster is at the top
  • Every subject is included right below the title
  • The criterion is on the left
  • The highest total is on the bottom


Evaluation:


This design is good because:

  • It is stand-alone
  • It is not too short and not too long
  • It is specially designed for MYP students

This design is not good enough because:

  • It doesn't have the explanation of how each assessment criteria is graded
  • It doesn't have the explanation of how the overall grade is calculated
  • It has no image



Conclusion

I will create the stand-alone design #1, because:


  • It is simple
  • Easy to understand
  • Organised
  • The layout looks better than that of design #2

I forgot to include the explanation of how each assessment criteria is graded and how the overall grade is calculated. I also forgot to design the space for images, so I am going to add these things to my stand-alone design #1 during my creation.
