School Attendance

Your child's daily attendance plays a vital role in their success at school! Every day a student is absent is a lost opportunity to share in learning here at WFES. Last school year, Wolfsville's daily average attendance was the 5th lowest in the county compared to all other elementary schools in FCPS.

While we understand cold and flu season is upon us, please take every measure to make it a priority for your child to attend school as much as possible. You can be proactive by scheduling appointments before and after school and reinforcing healthy hygiene habits at home to ward off germs. Our school goal is to keep a daily average attendance above 96%, which is considered excellent, for the year. We have already dropped to 96.2%.

Thank you for your partnership to ensure every student in our school has an opportunity to learn and grow each and every day here at Wolfsville!

Show your C-A-T-S Pride!

This year our staff has worked together to create school-wide behavior expectations. You will find the poster below throughout our school guiding students and staff in our collective expectations to help them reach success! We are committed to teaching students to learn from their mistakes and have a growth mindset. There may be times when they need these behaviors reinforced. When this happens, students will be ask to complete a reflection worksheet. If you see these come home, please sign and return them to school at your convenience. Mrs. Stein will be talking with each grade level about these expectations specifically, but please join us in these conversations. Ask your child about their C.A.T.S. behavior at home!

Fall Weather

Cooler temperatures are finally upon us! Please make sure your child dresses appropriate for the fluctuating temperatures. Unless there is inclement weather, students go outside for a 20 minute recess each day. They often need extra coats or layers for this time! You may also want to write your child's name on the inside tag of their coats or sweatshirts.

Thanksgiving Lunch

Parents and families are invited to join us for a traditional turkey meal with all the trimmings on November 16. Lunch will be offered from 11:00-1:00 at a cost of $3.95 per adult meal and $2.95 for your child. We will not be accepting money until the day of the lunch. Check your child's Thursday folder tonight for more information and an RSVP to attend!
