PK 4.3 - Weekly Newsletter
Dear families,
This week in PK4 we talked about how to make and keep friends. Friendships provide children with more than just fun playmates. They can help children develop emotionally and morally. While interacting with friends, children learned many social skills, such as how to communicate, cooperate, and take turns.
Even though we had a "short and sweet" week, it was definitely full of excitement!
As an extension of our last week's focus question, we welcomed Mrs. Ariadne (also known as "The Lady from the Window") as a mystery reader! She works with our Director and is VERY popular among our kids ;)
Our peace day celebration was a success as we talked about what peace means and what we need to make peace. To celebrate friendship and learning we created our own recipe for peace and decorated delicious cookies!!! Also, some of the kids had the chance to try some that were made with the secret ingredient of the Gingerbread man!
Next week, we look forward to start our Clothes Study and get to know in depth all about something that is part of our daily lives. We anticipate lots of fun dressing up and getting familiar with the main features of clothes!
Objectives of the week:
- Establishing and sustaining positive relationships
- Participating cooperatively and constructively in group situations
- Uses appropriate conversational and other communication skills
- Regulations own emotions and behaviors
Have a great weekend!
