GCS Crowns 2018 BOB Champions
More than 1,300 students and coaches and 104 volunteers came to UNCG for the GCS Battle of the Books Competition. The competition included 59 elementary schools, 19 middle schools and 14 high schools. Special thanks to our coaches, teachers, and students for all of their hard work! Congratulations to our winners!

The purpose of this program is to advance a wide range of compelling literacy projects that have a long-lasting impact in their community. Projects should address the literacy needs of underserved populations in the applicant's community. For the purposes of this program, literacy needs are defined broadly to include identifying, understanding, interpreting, creating, communicating, and computing information to live a more fulfilling and productive life.

Digital Citizenship from Sarah & Colleen
Sarah and Colleen did a tremendous job presenting on Digital Citizenship at the Librarian to Librarian Networking Summit . They have developed a wonderful list of resources to share. They have linked them in a collection of resources to teach Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship to all grades.
