Words of Wisdom
The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.
~ Socrates
The start of a new year brings all kinds of excitement, not the least of which, the opportunity to build a better year. It's easy to imagine that we have resolutions in common because we human beings share many of the same hopes and dreams. Most of us have resolutions that include kicking bad habits. As educators, we understand the effectiveness of redirecting a student and of reinforcing positive behaviors. This year let's put these concepts to work for our own benefit as we set out to build something new in our lives. This year, rather than fighting the negative, resolve to build up the positive.
With something to think about . . .
Remember to take care of yourself.
Challenge yourself to write only positively-phrased resolutions this year. Resolve to revisit your list monthly.
Happy Birthday!
