Face masks are required inside the buildings.
Free Student Breakfast and Lunch!
All FWISD schools will be providing free breakfast and lunch to their students each day for the 2021 -2022 school year. There are no forms required. Everyone qualifies.
Based on the feedback I received from my first newsletter, I have made an adjustment to the high school dress expectations (in bold):
Middle SchoolWe will be following the established middle school dress code as outlined by FWISD. You can follow this link to view these standards: https://www.fwisd.org/Page/5532
We will also permit dark green polo type shirts as well as spirit wear every day of the week.
PLEASE BE AWARE: even though there is published standard of dress for high school students provided through FWISD please know that (as we have in the past) we are continuing to allow t-shirts, ripped jeans and athletic wear. As a high school student privilege - unless the student dress is possibly distracting to the learning environment and/or revealing - we will not interfere with high school student dress choices.
DON'T's for All:
- Pajamas are not allowed.
- No hats or hoods inside the school.
- No visible under garments
- No pro alcohol or drug references
For any further clarification, please reach out to the campus directly.
Drop Off/Pick Up Map
- Have a current driver's license
- Have proof of insurance that lists the student as a covered driver
- Agree to not park in designated visitor or employee parking
Available parking will be assessed after the year is underway and qualifying sophomore's will then be allowed to also purchase a parking pass. Parking availability will be assessed at the end of the first grading period. if it there is available student parking at that time, it will be offered to qualifying sophomores.
We will also be offering assigned spaces for seniors for an additional fee. These students will be allowed to paint their space. Details will be released after the school year begins.
For any questions about student parking, please contact Gloria Gutierrez.
If your child still needs a laptop, we will be arranging for that during the first week of school. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to email our administrator over student devices, Mr. Phillip Adams at firstname.lastname@example.org
Schedule and Schedules and Busses
For the first two days of school, the building will open at 7:30. High school students may be in any hall of the high school building (Building A) until the 8:15 bell, and middle school students may be in any hall of the middle school building (Building B). At the 8:15 bell, all students will move to their first period class.
Students will need to be in their classrooms by 8:25.
We will post all over both buildings, student names and their first period class in case they did not already pick up their schedule.
Students will receive a copy of their schedule (on blue paper) during first period of the first day. They must follow that schedule even if they believe it is wrong or they have submitted a schedule change request. When changes in student schedules happen, students will be called to the office from class to pick up a new schedule when it is ready.
Students who want to submit a schedule change can stop by the counselor's office between classes - not during class. All schedule change requests must be submitted by Friday, August 20th.
Teachers will be telling bus riding students which bus they are to get on at the end of the day. This will take place each period in order to ensure students are comfortable knowing which bus they are to get on at the end of the day.
What to do if a student doesn't have a schedule and can't find their name on the posted list:
High school and middle school students who find themselves in this position or have any confusion about where to be, should make their way to the high school library for assistance. We will be staffed to help them in quick order.
All halls will be staffed with faculty to assist students in locating classrooms.
If you have any questions about this, or something I have not addressed, please reach out to the school.
