WE ARE PARSONS STRONG AND READY!

A Message From Your Proud Principal

The Peachtree Ridge Cluster Staff attended our annual Cluster Kick Off Meeting on Tuesday, August 11th. We did not get to come together like we usually do in the high school commons area, but we did come together via ZOOM. This wasn't like any other Zoom. We had the opportunity to be inspired by Manny Scott, one of the original Freedom Writers. He began his story by sharing..."That day, on a park bench, I turned the page. I returned to school with a new attitude and purpose, and ended up in the back of Erin Gruwell’s English class (a group now known worldwide as the Freedom Writers, portrayed in the hit MTV movie). It was in Ms. G's class where I began writing and dreaming about new, more fulfilling chapters in my life;chapters filled with healing, hope, perseverance, and possibility."

Manny shared with us the POWER that the ONE teacher, ONE coach, ONE administrator, ONE counselor and ONE homeless man on a park bench had on him. He went on to challenge each of us to be the POWER OF ONE. The ONE who becomes a student of their students. ONE that allows ALL students to see themselves through our teaching, ONE who makes ALL students thirsty for learning.

Manny Scott inspired us to:

  • Remember our "Why" - Why do we show up each day?
  • Get a new lens through which to see students, their families, and ourselves.
  • Have self-awareness that allows you to build bridges into the lives of our students, staff, and co-workers.
  • A renewed heart to show up for kids

Well, I want to assure you that WE, the Parsons' Staff, are dedicated to being the ONE for each of our students. The Parsons' community is the ONE who will ensure that our kiddos are 'Achieving and Believing'.

Thank you for your continued support and being apart of our ONE!

Return to School Parent Preference Survey

Parents completed the Gwinnett County Public Schools' Return to School Parent Survey at the beginning of July. The district recently mailed out parent letters stating parent preference from the July survey. Well, circumstances changed and we would like to get the most up to date parent preference for each student at Parsons. Please complete the Google Form attached for each of your children who attend Parsons by Wednesday, August 19th. We will use this updated information to support the recent phase in plan for returning in person.

Student Portal and eCLASS Introduction

eCLASS Passwords

Is your child having eCLASS password problems?

  • Contact your teacher if you are unable to log into eCLASS. They will assist you with resetting your password. The password is often reset to your student number.
  • If you are a new student or if your password has been reset by your teacher, you may need to activate your eCLASS account. Follow these steps to activate your account. *Begin at step 1 of the document.

eCLASS Error

If you have changed the default language on your computer or on Google Chrome to a language other than English, you may receive an error when trying to log into eCLASS. The error states "IBM Security Access Manager." Our county tech department has advised parents to change the default language back to English until this error has been resolved.
