A Note From Mrs. Service
Dear Fairview Families,
It is hard to believe that it is May and our school year is almost over. I am looking forward to warmer weather so we can enjoy the outdoors. I encourage you to take the time to read with your child over the summer and continue practicing math facts. But, most of all enjoy the summer - it goes by way too quickly.
- We are finishing up ILEARN testing this first week of May.
- We still have openings for Summer School. Summer Learning Camp applications will be coming home for K-4 students. The learning camp will be held at Fairview Elementary from May 31st - June 24th (8:45-1pm). Transportation will be provided if you ride the bus currently. Help prevent that summer loss and fill in those learning gaps!
- The Reading Academy - Invitations for the Academy will be sent home to a selected group of 2nd and 3rd grade students. The forms will be coming home on April 4th.
- Teacher Appreciation Week is this week. Let your child write their teacher(s) a note. We love our teachers!
- We have had many students who are tardy lately and for many classes reading starts first thing. It is very important to do your best to get your child to school on time. We serve breakfast everyday. Our doors open at 7:15 and the tardy bell rings at 7:50.
Just a reminder!! Your child can practice Dreambox and Lexia everyday at home. You can access both of these programs through the Clever portal by clicking here. If your child needs their username and password please contact their teacher.
End of the year awards in grade PreK, 1st - 3rd will be held in classrooms. Kindergarten and 4th grade will have celebrations. Please look for information coming home from their teacher.
If there is anything that you need please let me know. You can call the school office or send me an email.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jennifer Service
