It’s Mole Rocket Time in Chemistry!
Chemistry students used a combustion reaction of hydrogen and oxygen to produce the explosive energy needed to power a micromole rocket across the classroom. Students generated Hydrogen gas and Oxygen gas at their lab stations and then collected this fuel in different ratios trying to determine the most powerful gas mixture to launch a small rocket.
Science Class Activities
In physical science, students designed and constructed a paper roller coaster to demonstrate Newton's Laws of Motion. Their goal was to have a marble take the greatest amount of time to get from the top to the bottom of the coaster.

Weekly Wellness
This month’s theme is Mental Break. Are you ready for a break? Summer is around the corner (4 weeks away to be exact) and we need to find ways to stay focused for the next 4 weeks. Scheduling mental breaks helps you increase your focus when you return to your school work or any other activity. Other benefits of taking breaks include reducing stress, allowing our mind and body to recharge and helping us build resilience. Enjoy this month’s fun activities and make some time to take care of yourself.
