WMS Weekly Warrior
Week of 12-3
Principal's Post
Hello Everyone,
Woodbury Middle School was buzzing with activities this week. The week started with parent conferences on Monday evening. This year, the eighth grade team piloted a program that included students participating in their own academic conference. Having students participate allowed our students to be a part of the process to improve their learning.
Our Small Ensemble performed a wonderful concert on Tuesday evening performing over 30 numbers. A special thank you to Ms. Appiagyei for leading our students in this incredible night.
Thursday evening our Warrior Council held it's annual Turkey Shoot. This rescheduled event, usually held before Thanksgiving, hosted many families from the WMS community. Thank you for supporting our Warrior Council.
On Friday morning, our Culinary Arts students participated in a WMS version of “Chopped”. The students created and prepared their own recipes to be judged on three categories; presentation, flavor, and properly cooked. Guest judges tasted and graded the dishes based on a clear rubric. The students were very proud of their presentations. Congratulations Mr. Hadoulis on a great lesson for your students!
