OUR HUSKY HUSTLE HAS BEGUN!!!
What is the Husky Hustle?
- This is an exciting, school spirit filled glow fun fundraiser for our children that will begin on September 28th with a pep rally and end on October 14th with a Glow Fun Event.
- This is the Primary school-wide fundraiser of the school year!
- All students will get a “glow” t-shirt and will wear these on the day of the Glow Fun Event we call The Husky Hustle.
- There will be fun rewards along the way as fundraising goals are met!
How do you donate?
- Every student will receive an envelope for cash and check donations (Please make checks payable to BHE PTA). They will return their envelopes to their teacher with their donations. We will empty the envelope and return it to your student for them to get more donations. Our fundraiser runs from September 28th – October 14th.
- For online donations, we are partnering with Boosterthon. Use the QR Code below and register your student to start collecting donations.
What is the purpose of the fundraiser?
We are raising funds to provide as many of the following enhancements at BHE as we can:
- Purchasing new playground equipment;
- Picnic tables;
- Campus Beautification;
- Produce 2 (or more) school-wide assemblies with guest speakers: Science Program, Black History Month Program, and Animal Exhibit Program
- Provide encouragment and treats to all of our teachers and staff throughout the year;
- Purchase supplies for activities and programs for our students such as Eureka Science, International Festival, Holland House Party, Field Day, and many more!
We can't do any of it without you! Please donate today!

REFLECTIONS - Arts in Education
Explore the Arts and Express Yourself
National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Students participate in the appropriate division for their grade: Primary (Pre-K - Grade 2), Intermediate (Grades 3-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), High School (Grades 9-12), Special Artist (All grades welcome).*
Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.
