Principal's Message
We had amazing participation for our Spirit Day on Friday!!! The primary classroom winner was Mrs. Munn's 2nd grade class. In the intermediate, we had a tie between two classes! Both Mrs. Donkin's 4th grade class and Mrs. Shelbrock's 4th grade class had 100% participation!!!! Each student in those three classes will earn a Yogurt Beach gift certificate.
Congratulations to our Reflections participants who have moved on to the Regional level: Shreya B., Anisha C. and Shriyans R. We are proud of you!!
A reminder that tomorrow, there is a Board of Education meeting at 7:00 pm. You can watch it live here: http://www.ipsd.org/live
Please note, the next Sunday Newsletter will be sent on Sunday, January 3rd. If there is information that needs to be shared prior to that, I will certainly do so.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support and I hope you have a wonderful Winter Break!!!!
Best,
Alli Landstrom

Third/Fourth Quarter Selection
We are preparing for our return to in-person learning as soon as we are able to return after January 18. When we return, we will be using the same model that was shared with you previously. In-person learning will be a hybrid model. Students will come to school from 9-11:30am two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays or Wednesdays and Fridays). Your child(ren) will be assigned which days to come in person. They will participate in remote instruction in the afternoons on the days they do not come to school in person. Remote learning students will not come to school. They will participate in live instruction via Zoom Tuesday through Friday afternoons from 12:30-3:30. A specific schedule will be emailed to you from your child’s teacher prior to our start of in-person instruction.
At the beginning of the second quarter, you made a selection for your child to participate in in-person learning with our hybrid model or for your child to be all remote. We will keep your same selection for the third and fourth quarters. If you would like to change your selection, you must contact our school office at 630-4285678 by noon on Wednesday, December 16. You only need to contact us if you are changing your selection. If we do not hear from you, your selection will remain the same for the third and fourth quarters.
For families who are new to our district and were not here when we surveyed families, the system defaulted to remote learning for you because we have been remote. If that is not what you want, please contact the school office if you would like your child to participate in-person for the third quarter.
For our special education students who were receiving in-person instruction or related services in the building prior to the adaptive pause, their schedule of instruction/services will resume on January 19th. Please contact your student’s case manager only if that schedule requires a change.
For more information about the schedule and other questions associated with returning to school, please visit the district’s Return to School page.
LMC Curbside Pick-Up
Our LMC Curbside Pick Up is still happening at Peterson! We have an entire library of books for your children. Take advantage of having your child put the book on hold. On Wednesday's from 11:00-3:30, you can stop by Peterson for contactless pick up of the books your child selected.
Upon returning checkouts, books are set aside for the recommended number of days for quarantine. They are cleaned and returned to our shelves so that they are available for other students to read as well.
If this is something you are interested in having your child do, please see the attached flyer. There is a step-by-step video to watch on how to do this. We want to keep our students reading great books!

Tech Assistance for Chromebooks
The district continues to streamline the process for Chromebooks that need tech assistance. In order to meet the needs of our students with their technology needs, we are asking that if you have issues with your Chromebook, follow the new process below:
- The district asks that you use the Troubleshooting/Service Ticket Form to see if you can solve your issue with these troubleshooting directions. Most issues can be resolved following these steps.
- If you are unable to resolve your issue after following these directions, there is a form to fill out at the bottom of the troubleshooting document (link above) that will create a service ticket for your child's Chromebook.
- Once this form is filled out by you, someone from the district will be in contact with you about the issue.
- Please use an email address that you check frequently since this is the best way to contact you about the situation.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to work through this process.
