Three facts on violence.
1. Violence and abuse are used to establish and maintain power and control over another person, and often reflect an imbalance of power between the victim and abuser.
2. Violence causes more than 1.6 million deaths worldwide every year. Violence is one of the leading causes of deaths in all parts of the world for persons ages 15-44.

3. Domestic vionce is a pattern of behavior used to be established power and control over another person through fear or intimidation, often including a threat or use of violence.
More about the book. "That was then, this is now."
In the book, "That was then, this is now." the authors message about violence, is that violence happens everywhere. One example of this is when Charlie gets shot and Mark tells Bryon that everyone dies at some point, half of the time its because of violence. I think violence is unnecessary at some points. Only time i believe in violence is when you are protecting yourself or someone else. Another example of this is when Mark and Bryon use violence to protect M&M from rich kids on the other side of town.
Make tea, not war.
The reason why i chose this picture is because, i feel like being peaceful and relaxed is way better than making war and causing violence.

I chose this picture because if everyone would be peaceful we wouldn't have to worry about people physically hurting one another.
