Read Across America!

By: Janna Corley

March 2, 2016 is National Read Across America Day!

Let's get ready to celebrate National Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss's birthday! We have BIG plans and would love for everyone to take part this year. Teachers, do you have a favorite Dr. Seuss character or book? What better way to show your enthusiasm about reading than to DRESS UP as your favorite character from a Dr. Seuss book or any other book of your choice. Get with your grade level and plan together or go solo, the choice is yours! Our students will LOVE to see you dressed up on March 2nd!

"You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read with a child."

STUDENT Participation...

We want the students to be involved too!

*Please notify parents that students can wear crazy socks along with their school uniform on March, 2nd.

*Reading Buddies- Make plans to visit the same class you did for Reading in a Winter Wonderland, so students can buddy read their favorite picture book or Dr.Seuss book together.

*Special Teachers will be doing Dr.Seuss themed lessons for their classes throughout the day.

*Cat in the Hat will also be here all day making surprise visits to the special classes.
