Citation-

Is recording where you found information while conducting research. It is important to put all of your resources in in a "Works Cited" page so your teacher knows where you found your information, it also gives the proper credit to the author of that work.

Citations should be created for articles, books, pictures, and songs. Any time you use someone else's ideas- it gets a citation!!

You can find this, and all of our subscription databases, by going to www.scsd.us and clicking on Library, then eResources. Britannica School is a great resource for general information and we often recommend it as a great starting point for any research you may be doing! This database contains articles, as well as videos and images. It has lots of embedded tools too, like translation, text-to-speech, ability to adjust lexile level, and a citation creator. Your school Microsoft Office 365 account allows you to download the Office apps on up to 5 PC's or Macs, 5 tablets, and 5 smartphones. The Office apps include:

• Outlook: For email​
• Teams: For video conferencing​
  
• Word: For word processing​
  
• Excel: For spreadsheets and data analysis​
  
• PowerPoint: For slide show presentations​
  
• OneDrive: For cloud storage​
  
• OneNote: For note-taking​
  
• Skype: For Internet voice and video calling​
  
• Publisher: For making brochures, cards, etc. ​
  
• Access: For simple database creation and management
  

Even though you can access these apps online, having them downloaded on your device will allow you to continue to be productive even if you loose your Internet connection.

1. Log-in to your Office 365 account through Clever.
2. Click on the "Install Office" button.
3. Select either "Office 365 apps" or "Other install options" from the drop-down menu and follow the prompts. Selecting "Other install options" allows you to select a different language and also choose either the 64-bit or 32-bit version of Office.
