Mother Teresa's Honorable Achievements
1. In 1971, she was awarded the first Pope John XXIII Peace Prize for her work with the poor, display of Christian charity and efforts for peace in foreign countries.
2. In 1979, Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, "for work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress, which also constitutes a threat to peace."
3. In 1962, she was honored with Ramon Magsaysay Award for International Understanding, for her service of the t poor people of a foreign land.
4. For her unwavering commitment and unflinching love and compassion that she devoutly shared, the Government of India honored her with Padma Shri, Jawaharlal Nehru Award for International Understanding and Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.
