  • 10 classes created "spine poems" using the spines of library books
  • 81 classes visited the Learning Commons to check out materials
  • 5 classes learned about World War I through learning stations
  • 24 classes shopped the book fair
  • All students attended Authors of Mystery and Horror, a horror-themed presentation presented by Chad Crews

The mission of the Pelion Middle Learning Commons is to provide students, teachers, and members of the community with a 21st-century library that equips the user to be an effective and ethical consumer of information. The Learning Commons staff collaborates with the school community to foster an appreciation of literature while connecting learning to Common Core State Standards.
