CCC Youth Summer Missions Teams

Middle School Team

Our team of 23 middle schoolers and adults are traveling to Houston, in partnership with Corazón Ministries, for a week-long mission trip, June 9-16. We will be assisting in the rebuilding effort in Latino communities from Hurricane Harvey. We will also have an outreach for children near the area in which we will be working. We are looking forward to sharing the love of Christ with this community!

High School Teams

We will be taking two teams to Memphis, Tennessee to partner with LeaderTreks and Open Door Bible Church. In early June, 25 students and adults will drive to Memphis and spend a week working in the Memphis community. Again in mid-July, our second team of 20 students and adults will go back and continue the work of the first team. Memphis is a city that is still heavily marked by racial segregation and poverty. Our efforts will be centered around strengthening the impact of Open Door Bible Church, by serving the needs of individuals within their congregation.

30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World - May 15 - June 14

Join the millions of Christians around the world who will be participating in this largest ongoing prayer focus on the Muslim world. Pick up a prayer booklet at the Plaza, Sundays, April 29-May 13. A donation of $2 is appreciated. The booklet contains daily readings that focus on various topics, people groups and geographical areas of the Islamic world; each day’s subject focus is followed by prayer points. Christ Community Church is blessed to offer dozens of ministries to our church family and to the community around us. But we couldn’t do what we do without the help of hundreds of volunteers. Check the list below and see where you can serve.

  • The Care Portal Ministry brings the needs of hurting children and families in our community to our attention. As Child Welfare workers uncover the needs, they then connect to Tucson Churches like us, allowing us the opportunity to engage and make a difference. Come join the Tucson Care Portal team as we make a difference in the lives of children and families in crisis! Call the church office and give us your email, and you will be a part of the CCC team! Contact Pastor Floyd for more info.

  • Tutoring Refugee High School Students God continues to bless this ministry with increasing numbers of students in attendance. As a result of the growth, additional tutors are needed! We meet every-other Monday, 6:30-8pm, at Roberts-Naylor K8-1701 S Columbus Ave. Contact Kevin Bredehoft or 520.471.1586 if interested.

  • Helping Christian Teachers in our Public Schools - We have opportunities for you to help make a difference in our local public schools. Contact Pastor Floyd for more information.

  • Christ Community Cars (CCCars) - We are looking for people to work on cars once-a-month to help those in need. If you have the desire to get involved in this exciting ministry, contact Pastor Floyd or visit for more information.

  • Children's Ministry Sunday School/AWANA - We have an ongoing need for volunteers in both areas. Contact Sherry Stern if you're interested.

  • First Impressions Ministry is looking for warm, welcoming people to join our Ministry! Contact Pastor Adam in the church office.

  • Visitation Ministry: The Visitation Team makes contact with and personal visits to those who are home-bound, hospitalized, in a convalescent center, or recuperating at home. If you know someone in the church who needs this ministry or you would like to join our team, please contact the Church Office (296-8501).

  • InJoy Thrift Store is in need of donations (household items, books, toys, furniture, etc.). They also need additional volunteers. Call 396-3361 for details.
