Did you know that Stephen Hawking is the smartest man alive? He has many big discoveries and has won multiple awards. Stephen Hawking has changed the way we think about space.
Hawking graduated from two different universities. Both in England. The first university he went to was University College, Oxford. While he was here, he thought it was easy so he really didn't pay attention. This led to being nervous on the final exams. The teachers thought he was going to fail, but surprisingly he aced the test. Later on he went to Trinity Hall, Cambridge. There he graduated with a PhD. this led to 3 discoveries that changed the way we think about space.
Discoveries And Awards
After he graduated, Hawking discovered Hawking radiation. Hawking radiation is black-body radiation that is predicted to be released by black holes. This led to a lot of changes in astronomy. A change was that a black hole isn't black it actually glows.
Another thing that he discovered was the Penrose. The Penrose Is a set of results in general relativity which attempt to answer the question of when gravitation produces singularities.
A Brief History of Time
And did you that Stephen Hawking is an author? He wrote the book A Brief History of Time. It explains a range of subjects in cosmology, including the Big Bang, black holes and light cones.
