What was the change?
The Renaissance was a rebirth in art and education where people started to believe in themselves. It focused on making the world better in technology, science and art as well. The people started to question the belief in the church. They started a new secular religion called humanism and believed that education could make the world a better place.
Who were the people associated with the change?
Leonardo Da Vinci
Leonardo Da Vinci was a true "Renaissance Man" He was a painter, inventor, sculptor, and scientist. He painted the famous 'Mona Lisa' who was the wife of a wealthy merchant.
Michelangelo was a famous sculptor who was known for portraying the human body.
How did the change impact society at the time?
People started to focus on human potential and achievements. This increased the understanding of the world as well as a new modern era. Trade increased greatly, allowing people to have more options and leave to the city. The Italian city Florence was were renaissance sparked the most, making the middle class a lot more powerful than before and Italy's most artistic city.
How is that change evidenced in today's modern society?
The change is evidenced in the way schools are now. They aren't focused on church or religion anymore also a lot more people can read and write. Everyone doesn't focus on the same religion either there are different religions around the world and we don't need to follow its every rule. We also don't wear the same clothes, what was fashionable then probably isn't fashionable now.
