Definition Of a Phobia! :)
Everyone has a fear of some sort but when fears are so severe that they cause tremendous anxiety and interfere with your normal life they're called phobias. A phobia is an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something. A phobia starts when a person begins organizing their lives around avoiding the object of their fear.
Some examples of different phobias are:
Alektorophobia- Fear of chickens
Androphobia- Fear of men
Alliumphobia- Fear of garlic
Anuptaphobia- Fear of staying single
Ambulophobia- Fear of walking

Phobias are actually more common than you think! Approximately 4 to 5 percent of the U.S. population (about 19 million people) has one or more significant phobias in a year! Phobias can happen in early childhood, but are usually evident in the ages 15-20. Typically, women have more phobias than men! There are about 400 phobias recognized by psycologists! :)))

~EMOTIONAL SYMPTOMS~
- Overwhelming anxiety or panic
- Fear of losing control or going crazy
- Feeling like you’re going to die or pass out
- Difficulty breathing
- Racing or pounding heart
- Trembling or shaking
Help for your phobia! :]
Treatments~ If your phobia doesnt effect your life that much, then you most likely have nothing to be concerned about, however, if your having extreme anxiety about your phobia everyday, you should seek help. A good way to get rid of your phobia if facing what ever it is that you're afraid of!
