WHAT WAS THE MAGNA CARTA AND WHAT DID KING JOHN DO
- The Magna Carta was an agreement between the barons and the king
John was forced to sign the Magna Carta at Runnymedex.
- In response to this, John introduced high taxes without asking the barons. This was against feudal law and accepted custom.
