Walter Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Flora Disney and Elias Disney, a Canadian-born farmer. Walt Disney was a young, creative lively man. He has brought success to his family and his name. Walt Disney had told his father that he would bring fame and success to the Disney name when he was only a child. During his lifetime, he lived through the Depression and devolved lung cancer. But, even with the set backs he made millions, built theme parks everywhere, and won twenty six total academy awards and he also won a total of twenty two competitive academy awards with a total of fifty-nine nominations which holds the records for most wins and most nominations for an individual in history.
Some Struggles
Walt Disney made Oswald the Lucky Rabbit which was a animated character that was a big hit but Walt Disney soon found out later that a women named M.J Winker and her husband named Charles Mintz had stolen the rights of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and some of the other animated characters. Later that day on a train Walt started doodling and made mickey mouse which became a world wide known animated character later.

When Walt Disney revealed to the world his plans to make an animated feature of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” many film insiders thought it was going to destroy the company. Also Walt Disney was afraid of mouse's so he drew mickey mouse friendly. Plus Mickey Mouse’s original name was Mortimer Mouse, but Walt’s wife Lillian Disney thought the name sounded “pompous.”
