Student Highlights Covered by ENO

Our Eagle Nation Online Journalists will be covering the Student Highlight section each week.

PHS NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARS

Of the 1.5 million entrants in the National Merit Scholarship Program, some 50,000 with the highest PSAT/NMSQT® Selection Index scores from their 11th grade test qualify for recognition in the National Merit Scholarship Program. In September, these high scorers are notified through their schools that they have qualified as either Commended Students or Semifinalists. The top one-third of the students qualify as Semifinalist for the scholarship competition and the other two-thirds are given Letters of Commendation for their achievement. We are proud to have the following PHS students who are recognized among the 50,000 highest scoring students.
